What FUW Membership Means for You
Membership of the Farmers’ Union of Wales comprises Full, Associate and Young members.
A Full Member of the Union shall be entitled to receive all literature and information issued and shall be entitled to attend and vote at all Local Branch, County and General meetings of the Union. The same entitlement relates to Young members of the Union.
Associate Members of the Union shall be entitled to receive all literature and information issued and may attend but not vote at any meetings of the Union. No associate member shall be entitled to hold office or serve on any Committee of the Union unless invited to do so in any advisory capacity.
Classification of Associate Membership
- Retired farmers
- Full- and part-time farm workers
- Sons and daughters not working full-time on home farm
- Individuals or organisations directly or indirectly involved with agriculture and/or its ancillary services
- Any person owning/renting in excess of 1 acre of land but not a full- or part-time farmer
