FUW Montgomeryshire to host Tractor Run
The Farmers’ Union of Wales (FUW) Montgomeryshire is calling on local farmers, tractor enthusiasts, families and supporters of the rural community to take part in a special Tractor Run on Sunday, 5th October 2025. The event will raise money for Prostate Cymru, the Welsh charity dedicated to supporting men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
The tractor run will set off from Llwynybrain, Adfa, SY16 3DA, with participants asked to arrive from 8:30 am ready for a 10:00 am departure. A scenic route through Montgomeryshire’s beautiful countryside will be enjoyed before everyone returns for a well-deserved barbecue, which is included in the entry price.
Entry costs £20 per vehicle and £10 per additional passenger, 4x4 vehicles are also welcome. All proceeds will go towards supporting the work of FUW Montgomeryshire and raising much-needed funds for Prostate Cymru, which relies on donations to continue its vital work in awareness, research, and support services.
Speaking ahead of the event, Wyn Williams, FUW Montgomeryshire Chair, said: “This tractor run is a fantastic way for our local community to come together, enjoy a great day out, and raise money for an important cause. Prostate cancer affects so many families, and we’re proud to support Prostate Cymru with this event.
"I’d also like to thank the Yeomans family of Llwynybrain for kindly hosting us – their support has made this possible. We hope to see plenty of tractors and 4x4 vehicles lining up on the day, and we welcome everyone who would like to join us or simply come along to show their support.”
