Milk and Dairy Produce Committee

The gross output of Welsh milk producers represents around 27 percent of total Welsh agricultural output, and is valued at over £270 million.

Of the 2,300 dairy producers in Wales, the majority are based in the old counties of Dyfed and Clwyd, although dairy farming continues to be important in regions such as the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey.

The FUW's Milk and Dairy Produce Committee deals with all issues related to dairy farming and the dairy supply chain, including bovine Tuberculosis (bTB).
