Farming Connect skills funding window

An application window to apply for subsidised training will open on October 17th for ONE WEEK ONLY. 

The skills funding application window opens at 9am Monday 17th October 2022 and closes at 5pm on Friday 21st October 2022.

There are 20 short courses available categorised under ‘Business’, ‘Land’ and ‘Livestock’. All training courses will be subsidised by up to 80% for registered individuals.

Courses available are:

Business

Book Keeping and VAT

Business planning and development

Emergency First Aid – 1 day course

Environmental Awareness, Audit and Management for your Business

Marketing your business

Planning a Diversification or New Enterprise on Farm

Understanding and Using Accounts

 

Land

Basic Tree Inspection

Chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting

Level 2 Award in the Safe use of Pesticides ( PA1 ) & Safe Application of Pesticides Using

Vehicle Mounted Boom Sprayer Equipment ( PA2 )

Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides ( PA1 ) & Safe Application of Pesticides Using

Hand Held Equipment ( PA6 )

Level 2 Award in Rodent Management ( previously rodent control )

Rough terrain telescopic handler

Sit astride ATV

Trailer Towing on Road

Woodland Management for Conservation

 

Livestock

Calf management, health and housing

Cattle foot trimming

DIY AI

Cattle scanning

Sheep scanning

Safe use of sheep dip

Safe use of vet and med
