Hybu Cig Cymru-Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) has launched a new ‘Between the Lines’ analysis report of lamb supply and the wider factors impacting the market.
The report studies in detail a cocktail of market challenges that has put pressure on lamb prices going into 2023. These include the cost of living crisis, the Ukraine war, increased imports and the summer drought in 2022.
The report also looks ahead to the coming months, analysing a range of data to help farmers assess the potential supply of lambs onto the market for the coming season.
