A survey is being conducted by Fera Science Ltd and DEFRA to identify the financial impacts incurred by UK bird holders as a result of the avian influenza outbreak between October 2021 and September 2022.
The costs investigated in this survey are associated with the mandatory housing order, additional biosecurity measures, forgone income from dead and culled birds, restricted business activity, and higher operational costs.
