FUW Pembrokeshire CEO Rebecca Voyle said: “We are looking forward to a busy county show where we will be discussing #FarmingMatters and #FairFarmFunding with our members and elected politicians. I hope many of you can join us for what promises to be another excellent show.”
Members of staff from Trading Standards Consumer Safeguarding Team will be at the FUW stand for the duration of the show to offer advice and assistance on how to spot scams and protect yourself from them. In addition, if you have any examples of scams which you have received please bring them with you as they will be more than happy to discuss them.
Emma Taylor from Building Resilience in Catchments (BRICs) will be at the stand on the Wednesday of the show between 10am and 3.30pm, to provide information on their research project into reducing the level of nutrients entering the Milford Haven Waterway through improving water, nutrient and habitat management on farms. The project will focus on the three sub-catchments of Pelcomb Brook, Winterton Marsh and Llys y Fran, so if you farm in any of these areas pop in to find out more.
Philip Meade, of Davis Meade Property Consultants, one of the Union’s land agents, will also be available on the Wednesday of the show to provide advice on a variety of issues ranging from rent reviews to renewable energy contracts.
“We will also be focusing on the Welsh Government’s ‘Brexit and our land’ consultation which has recently been issued on the future shape of support for the industry in Wales. We are really keen to hear your views so please call in to see us for a chat,” added Rebecca Voyle.
