The event is being held on Thursday 8 November 2018, at Haverfordwest Cricket Club, with doors opening at 7pm, and eyes down at 8pm.
Rebecca Voyle, the FUW’s Pembrokeshire CEO, said: “We extend a very warm welcome to everyone who fancies joining us for a fun night of Bingo. Dementia is a growing health problem - 1 in 6 people over the age of 80 have dementia, and there are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK.
“With an anticipated increase in the number of cases of 156 per cent between now and 2051, which equates to two million people, we know that the burden will fall on rural areas where there are significantly higher proportions of elderly people. So this is not something that we can ignore and more research is desperately needed - therefore we are trying to raise as much money as possible.
“We also want to continue to support farmers who need support in difficult times and raise awareness of mental health problems in rural communities. Therefore money raised at the Bingo night will also be donated to the Farming Community Network. With this in mind, I hope many of you can join us.”
