The Pembrokeshire team of the Farmers’ Union of Wales is looking forward to a busy county show, which is being held on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 August 2023.
The main focus for the team this year is farm safety and many activities have been planned for the show, including a children’s area where there will be an opportunity for those 11 years of age and under to enter our health and safety competition to win Polly, our cuddly pig.
There will also be an opportunity for members to find out more about the latest scheme updates and to sign up to the counties 200 Plus Club, to win one of their quarterly cash prizes of £60, £30 or £20 for just £5 per year!
Union officials and staff will be meeting with local Members of the Senedd and Parliament to discuss those issues which are affecting the sustainability and survival of family farms in Wales.
FUW Pembrokeshire county executive officer Rebecca Voyle said: “We are looking forward to meeting members, stakeholders and politicians over the 2 day event and will ensure that the matters affecting our family farms are discussed.
“Farm safety is a matter that we all care greatly about and we will be shining a light on best practice and have industry leading advice available for members as well.
“I hope many of you will be able to join us over the course of the two days.”
