Welsh Government has announced a data confirmation exercise, as part of the SFS Preparatory Phase.
The aim of the data confirmation exercise is to update RPW mapping systems with the correct habitat areas and tree canopy cover on all farms in advance of the SFS design being finalised and the introduction of SFS in 2026.
Information gathered will also be used to update mapping in preparation for Habitat Wales Scheme (HWS) 2025.
The SFS Data Confirmation Form is now available via RPW Online and will remain available until 6 December 2024. ‘SFS Data Confirmation General Guidance’ and ‘SFS Data Confirmation How to Complete
Guide’ are available on the Welsh Government website at www.gov.wales/rpwonline. You should read these booklets before completing your Data Confirmation Form.
FUW county offices will be assisting members to complete this exercise and you can contact your local county office to make an appointment.
