Hybu Cig Cymru have announced a 4.2% increase in the red meat levy paid by producers and abattoirs in Wales from April 2024. The Welsh Red Meat Levy rates were increased in April 2023 and a mechanism was introduced to link future levy increases to the Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers' housing costs (CPIH).

If you keep livestock on your holding, you must maintain a register for each species on each of your holding/s (CPHs).

This year, an Advance payment, worth 70% of the estimated BPS 2024 claim value, will be made from 14 October 2024, subject to claim eligibility and receipt of all necessary supporting documents. Balance payments will be made from 12 December 2024
