FUW Glamorgan farmhouse breakfast event makes for a great start to the day

A traditional cooked breakfast is one of the best ways to highlight the quality of Welsh farm produce and it is a great opportunity to talk and share your thoughts before starting the day.

To promote the health benefits and enjoy the outstanding food our farmers produce every day, as well as getting farmers round the table to share their thoughts, worries and hopes for the year ahead, the Farmers’ Union of Wales (FUW) Glamorgan team is hosting a farmhouse breakfast as part of the FUW’s Farmhouse breakfast week (Monday 17 January - Sunday 23 January).

The event is held at Rosedew farm in Llantwit Major on Monday 17 January commencing at 9am and is open to all. Breakfast tickets are £10 per person, with proceeds being donated to Ty Dewi Sant Penarth and the DPJ Foundation.

FUW Glamorgan County Chairman Richard Walker said: “It's great that as a county we are able to hold a Farmhouse Breakfast this year,  after missing out last year due to Covid. It's an opportunity for us to talk to our local politicians about farming matters and at the same time raise money for our charitable causes.

“We look forward to welcoming you all to our breakfast table this year and it promises to be a great morning.”

FUW Glamorgan County Executive Officer Sharon Pritchard added: “We want you to be a part of what we do, and share your thoughts and worries about the state of the industry, tell us your stories and help us to understand how we can help each other, and what better way to do that than around a table where we share great food and have a cup of tea.”
