The Meirionnydd branch of the Farmers’ Union of Wales has entertained those visiting the Union stand at the county show, which was held at Ty Cerrig, Harlech, with cooking demonstrations, live music and plenty of farming matters chats.
FUW Meirionnydd county executive officer Heledd Williams said:
“It was a busy, full and successful day of activity at the Union’s stand, and we had an opportunity to hold discussions with a number of organisations, and and also met with Liz Saville Roberts MP, Mabon ap Gwynfor MS and Llyr Gruffydd MS.”
Amongst the organisations and individuals who visited the FUW stand during the day were the FUW President's charity -the Welsh Air Ambulance, RABI, Rural Crime Team, Eryl P Roberts on behalf of Farming Connect and Alun Edwards as an ambassador for the Farm Safety Partnership.
Mel Thomas also held cooking demonstrations using local produce such as Cig Oen Y Glastraeth and Cig Eryri.
David Bisseker closed the day with entertainment on the horn.
“I’d like to thank everyone who helped in any way during the day and hope members had an enjoyable and successful show,” added Heledd Williams.
